High Standards
You will receive the benefits of our high standards regardless of your dental needs and personal wishes. We use the highest American Dental Association and OSHA standards for sterilizing all of our instruments. We use digital (as opposed to film) X-Ray technology for our X-Rays to get better, faster, and safer images. These digital images are immediately available for you to see them and discuss possible treatment.
Education & Prevention
We are true believers that preventive care and education are important keys to optimal dental health. We strive to provide “oral health care” rather than “dental disease care”. That’s why we focus on thorough exams (checking the overall health of your teeth and gums), doing regular oral cancer exams, and taking x-rays when necessary. Regular professional cleanings, sealants, and fluoride are all helpful in preventing dental disease. With your daily brushing, flossing, rinsing (fluoride or antiseptic), and control of sugars complete the main preventive efforts.
Staff training
We regularly attend the annual American Dental Association and the semi-annual California Dental Association meetings, but we go way beyond that usual type of training. Routinely achieving three or four times the required courses, Dr. Petrasic and staff emphasize mostly clinical "hands-on" courses, incorporation all this knowledge in our daily practice with patients..
Medical considerations and Special Needs
Our office is keenly aware of how your oral health affects your overall health and how your overall health affects your oral health. We communicate regularly with physicians when we need to give guidance or receive guidance in order to provide safe and effective dental care. We are prepared and trained to work with all special needs patients providing the best quality care.
Emergency Care
In the case you have a dental emergency and decide to call the office on our working days, our staff will make sure to accommodate an appointment for you the same day !!!! If you become one of our "regular patients" , you will enjoy twenty-four hour per day access to emergency care. Dialing our office number puts you into contact with the "on-call" dentist that works in our emergency group.
A Positive Experience
We understand how uneasy some patients may feel about their dental visits. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with personalized care and service to make your visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible. We offer nitrous oxide ("laughing gas") and oral sedation when needed, to make sure your visits are comfortable. You can bring your music or a favorite movie to enjoy during your dental visit !!!!
